At Crown Lane Free Methodist Church, we are passionate about helping children and young people discover God's love, build lasting friendships, and grow in faith. Our children's and youth ministries provide fun, safe, and supportive environments where every child is valued and encouraged. Through games, activities, Bible teaching, worship, and fellowship, we seek to help young people develop a strong foundation for life and faith within a caring Christian community. Inspired by the vision of the Free Methodist Church UK & Ireland, we are committed to serving families and helping people of all ages experience the hope and freedom found in Jesus Christ.
Whether you are looking for a friendly toddler group, an exciting club for children, or a place where teenagers can connect and grow, there is a place for you here. Our dedicated volunteers work hard to ensure that every activity is welcoming, engaging, and centred on Christian values. We invite you to explore our Toddlers Group, Youth Club, and Adventurers programme, and we look forward to welcoming you and your family to our church community.
Toddlers Group
Toddlers Group is a warm and welcoming space where parents, carers, babies and preschool children can enjoy time together in a safe and friendly Christian environment. Inspired by the Free Methodist vision of building healthy communities and sharing God's love, our group provides opportunities for young children to learn, play and make new friends while parents and carers enjoy fellowship and encouragement. We believe every child is precious to God, and we seek to create an atmosphere where families feel valued and supported.
Each session includes free play, toys, crafts, refreshments, songs and a short Bible-based thought suitable for young children. Whether you are part of our church family or visiting for the first time, you will receive a warm welcome. Our aim is to help young families connect with one another and discover the love of Jesus in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
Time: Tuesday mornings, 9:30am - 11:00am
Youth Club
Our Youth Club provides a place where young people can meet together, build friendships and explore the Christian faith in a fun and engaging way. Following the Free Methodist commitment to helping people grow as disciples of Jesus, we offer activities that encourage personal development, teamwork and spiritual growth. Young people are given opportunities to discuss real-life issues, share experiences and discover how faith relates to everyday life.
A typical evening includes games, sports, challenges, refreshments, Bible discussions and special events throughout the year. The club aims to create a welcoming environment where every young person feels accepted, encouraged and valued. We regularly enjoy social activities and community events that help build strong friendships while learning more about God's purpose for our lives. A recent church youth event brought together young people, families and members of the church for an evening of fun, food and fellowship.

Adventurers
Empower
Growth
Adventurers is our exciting weekly children's ministry for boys and girls aged 4 to 11 years. The group is designed to help children learn about Jesus in a lively and enjoyable way through singing, games, Bible teaching and interactive activities. We want every child to discover the joy of following Christ and to grow in their understanding of God's love for them.
Every week children enjoy a varied programme of activities, make new friends and learn important Bible truths in a welcoming atmosphere. There is also an opportunity for children to ask questions about faith and receive support as they develop their relationship with God.
Time: Friday evenings (term time only), 6:30pm
Age Group: 4 to 11 years old
