Baptism: A Public Step of Faith
Baptism is one of the most important steps in the life of a Christian. It is a joyful public declaration that a person has placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and desires to follow Him. At Crown Lane Free Methodist Church, we believe that baptism is a gift from God and a powerful testimony of His saving grace at work in a person's life.

The Free Methodist Church is rooted in a desire to help people experience freedom through Jesus Christ. Our mission is to love God, love people, and make disciples, and baptism is a wonderful expression of that journey of faith. The Free Methodist Church speaks of being "set free, living free, and bringing freedom" through the transforming power of Christ.
While baptism itself does not save us, it is an act of obedience to Christ's command and a visible sign of an inward spiritual reality. Through baptism, believers publicly identify with Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, declaring that their old life has passed away and that they are now living a new life in Him. It is a celebration of God's grace and a witness to family, friends, and the church community.
At Crown Lane Free Methodist Church, we are delighted to support anyone who is considering baptism. Whether you have recently become a Christian or have been following Jesus for some time and have never taken this step, we would love to talk with you. Baptism is not the end of the journey but the beginning of a deeper walk of discipleship, growth, and service alongside God's people.
